Halloween or Hallowe'en (a contraction of All Hallows' evening), also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve, is a celebrated each year on 31 October, on the eve of All Hallows' Day. It is intended to remember the dead, including saints, martyrs, and all the faithful departed.Halloween has evolved with a mixture of pagan and Christian customs.It originated from an ancient Celtic seasonal festival marking the end of the harvest, and to remember the dead(known as Samhain) that is celebrated from sunset on October 31 to sunset on November 1.

Although #Halloween is not an official holiday, it is observed in a number of North American and European countries around the world. In the United States, it is estimated to be the festival with the second-highest amount of consumer spending after Christmas, as candy sales sky-rocket, and everyone dresses up in their favorite costumes and orders their favorite foods.

How to celebrate Halloween

Children typically like to dress up as their favorite costumes and go around the neighborhood 'Trick or Treating' in order to collect candy. Friendly neighbors hand out chocolates and other candy to the kids as they pass by in their outfits. Adults like to have Halloween parties as well, with lots of food, drinks and a chance to just let loose and enjoy.
