Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is an annual celebration that takes place on the first Saturday of May. Mega publishers like Marvel and DC, and many others, all join forces to make Free Comic Book Day a success, with free comics at more than 2,300 stores across the United States. The event started in 2002, and has even spread to other countries in Asia, Europe, and Australia, so celebrate by visiting your local comic book store and pick up a comic or two.
