Ditch New Year's Resolution Day is celebrated on January 17th each year. It’s a day intended to celebrate the end of your responsibility to carry on your resolutions. Since it’s more than a couple of weeks after New Year’s Day, it gives people plenty of time to get tired of their resolutions. As you may be able to tell, this day is simply intended as a joke.

If you’re like most people, there’s a good chance you’ve given up most of your resolution way before January 17th. If you behave responsibly this year and uphold your resolutions, this special day gives you all the excuses you need to return your life to normal. If you’re sick of waking up for the gym at 6 AM every morning, Ditch New Year's Resolution Day is your ticket out of jail.

How to Celebrate Ditch New Year's Resolution Day

There’s no better way to celebrate Ditch New Year's Resolution Day than by ditching your New Year’s resolutions, of course! In doing so, you relieve yourself of the stress created by any resolutions you no longer want to carry on. If you want to commemorate this day, you don’t have to ditch all your New Year’s resolutions at once—it’s perfectly acceptable to only ditch the resolutions you’re no longer enjoying on #DitchNewYearsResolutionDay
